I have the blessing and privilege of being able to work with my beautiful wife of over 20 years Val Mayer who is also a full-time agent and the co-founder of The Mayer Group. Together we are unstoppable!

I grew up in Dunkirk and spent my summers in Solomons Island where I spent my time boating, fishing, and crabbing. I have a unique appreciation for what Southern Maryland has to offer on the water. With the Chesapeake, Patuxent, and Potomac Rivers we live in an amazing place for boating, fishing, sailing, and taking in the beauty of Southern Maryland.

Before real estate, I worked in the mortgage business for 5 years where I was a part of hundreds of transactions. I know what loan programs are available, what repairs are likely to be flagged as part of the appraisal process, and know what to look for on both the buying and selling side of the transaction from other lenders.

Prior to lending, I worked in IT for 14 years in enterprise web hosting where I worked with websites for fortune 50 companies managing clients expectations and overseeing a team of 14. This is where I gained insight into how the internet works and how to market online.

My favorite part of real estate is watching my clients get excited about the house they are buying. Watching the kids pick out their rooms and listening to the conversation about where the furniture will go or how the backyard will be great for cookouts.

I have been a life long resident of Southern Maryland and my family ancestry dates back to the 1600’s here in Prince Frederick. We feel blessed to call this beautiful place our home. I want to help you do the same!

Val had an exciting start to her career being named Calvert County’s Rookie Of The Year in her first year licensed.

As an active member of her community, she hosts an annual community wedding where a group of local businesses comes together to donate services and provide a free wedding to a local couple. From the catered food, the venue, to the cake, all is donated and provided free of charge.

She is an active member of NewLife Church and donates her time to the homeless shelter and supports Farming 4 Hunger.

When she is not selling houses she is a wife of 18 years to her business partner Brian and mother to 3 beautiful daughters Madison, Preslee, and Karis. She hopes to one day work with them together in real estate as a family business.
